ANAHEIM “GO TO” RESTAURANT

Whenever we are visiting the Anaheim area, Susie Reese and I try to do a drop-in here.

This restaurant, located on Katella in Orange, waves its reputation prominently as customers enter the door. “Best Steak in Orange County” (2017)…PRIME CUT CAFE according to a poll in a local magazine.

Attention must be paid. So, Susie orders a Burgundy Chicken with Mushrooms entree including Whipped Potatoes preceded by a Jumbo Tiger Shrimp Cocktail. Bill orders a Cider Brined Pork Chop with Butter Braised Bacon and Cider Reduction along with Potato Gratin for his main dish. Seriously, sometimes one has a beef with beef.

The meaty prawns are just what the doctor ordered as Susie proceeds with her recovery.  This is the second time she has ordered Burgundy Chicken & Mushrooms from the menu, so one might conclude that it fits the bill just fine. Bill, on the other hand, finds his dish cooked to perfection and savors it without relying on a previous experience. A winner!

So both of us have a taste of liquor without the liquor. Lip smackin’ good. Now these Anaheim aliens are fortified for the day’s activities. Until next time.
